The organization approached ZincMedia with a goal to create a dynamic, modern brand identity that embodied the essence of the “Gemz” name — something that communicated both power and sparkle. The challenge was to design a logo that balanced feminine energy and athletic dominance, aligning seamlessly with Nike’s EYBL branding standards while maintaining a unique, standout identity for the team.
Our Approach
ZincMedia began by conducting a deep discovery process — analyzing youth basketball brand trends, Nike’s visual language, and the emotional connection between athletes and their team identity. The team explored various visual directions that would integrate luxury, shine, and boldness, ultimately landing on a high-impact metallic and glitter aesthetic that exuded both confidence and sophistication.
The design features:
- Custom Typography — blending sleek, script-style elegance with solid, block lettering for “GEMZ” to convey strength and unity.
- Diamond Iconography — symbolizing brilliance, resilience, and excellence — key traits of the athletes the brand represents.
- Signature Color Palette — shimmering lavender and silver tones to evoke empowerment, glamour, and competitive prestige.
- 3D Polished Effects — adding depth and realism for high versatility across digital and print applications.

The new Jersey Gemz EYBL brand identity has become instantly recognizable across courts and digital channels.
